In 2014, Two Caterers partnered with Geben to develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy that helped establish its positioning as a cutting-edge company with a fun personality, preferred catering choice for mid-market brides and, most importantly, the leading catering company in Central Ohio. To convey the right messages to the right audiences, we knew our PR efforts would need to focus on a mix of tactics to both show and tell the Two Caterers story.
Securing a mix of coverage in outlets like Columbus Crave, Columbus Bride, Columbus CEO, ColumbusUnderground.com and ExperienceColumbus.com helped Two Caterers share its story with key target audiences, including local business professionals, foodies and brides. Plus, coordinating segments with local TV stations gave Two Caterers and outlet to simultaneously showcase the its expertise and personality. For example, we secured two in-studio segments with Good Day Columbus where CEO Angela Petro demonstrated how to whip up fancy fall party appetizers/drinks and Thanksgiving snacks in the GDC kitchen. The production staff enjoyed working with Angela so much that they invited us to pitch and coordinate an entire year’s worth of segments.
This strategic mix of print and on-air media coverage reinforced Two Caterers positioning as Central Ohio’s leading catering company. In fact, in November, readers voted Two Caterers best catering company in Columbus for the fifth year in a row in Columbus CEO’s annual Best of Columbus issue.
